I’m still wrapping up shopping and no wrapping has happened at my house. Christmas is just a few days away and I’m not too worried…yet despite needing to do some last minute Christmas shopping. We do have an entire weekend to finish everything!
If you have teenagers like me than you may be looking for last minute Christmas gift ideas and if you don’t have kids but have nieces and nephews to buy for, this list may help inspire you!
Here are some big hits at our house this year:
Video Games – We are longtime Nintendo fans and I was a Nintendo blog ambassador for several years so Nintendo games are always big on our list. There are so many hot new game releases just in time for the holidays – we recently reviewed Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo, just released November 5 and exclusive to the Switch. Switch games are available for digital download which makes them convenient for last-minute shoppers. My 14-year-old has this to say about it, “It’s highly competitive, fun to play with friends and has a lot of variety. It can be a fun challenge to try and get new high scores.”
Gift Cards – Teenagers love gift cards and it’s easy to pick some up for their favorite companies and big box retailers — Game Stop, Target, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Amazon, American Eagle, Hollister, Ulta, Fandango and even Spotify and Etsy…but don’t forget local favorites like their favorite coffee shop or bubble tea spot. (My girls love Royal Boba here in Nashville.)
Local Experiences – If you have a local Escape game or Top Golf or activities like an indoor rock climb facility or outdoor ropes course, these make great gift ideas for teenagers! Most have gift certificates available. We’re fans of Treetop Adventure Park here in Nashville.
Crazy Socks and PJs – It seems like all the teenagers on my list, from my own girls to my nephews, love crazy socks! You can find them in any style as well, from everyday socks to fuzzy socks (I love these llama sherpa slipper socks). Pajama bottoms are always a big hit, too. My girls love joggers.
Subscription Boxes – Makeup and beauty product subscription boxes like Ipsy and Boxycharm are always fun choices for teen girls and you can gift an entire year or just a few months. You can even subscribe to a face mask subscription box.
