I’ve really been trying to detox since Halloween but guess what? Thanksgiving is next week! Today I thought I’d share some comfy Thanksgiving outfits that make room for turkey, cornbread dressing and pumpkin pie…my trifecta of food must haves. You don’t have to wear yoga pants and a sweatshirt to be comfortable, although if that’s your go to outfit on the holiday I say got for it!

I wear jeans all the time and I prefer to wear denim that has a little lycra for give. I recently bought a pair of high-waist jeggings at TJ Maxx and LOVE THEM. Leggings are also a go to for me and I recently snagged a pair of Nike Dri Fit yoga pants at a thrift store.

Thanksgiving is a day you may want to dress up, but also dress for comfort. I hope you like the ideas I’m sharing! I’ve pictured the links in the collage below.

5 Thanksgiving Outfits To Inspire You

“Dressy” leggings and a tunic

Literally as I type this I’m wearing black corduroy leggings from Hanes that I got a few years ago. I haven’t been able to find these this season but Amazon has HUE brand in several colors. My favorites for fall are black and caramel. Leggings are kind of a step above yoga pants but still comfortable (ie no zippers or buttons!) Paired with a tunic like this one and you’ve got a really nice comfy outfit.

Jeans and a twist-tie tee

Twist-tie knotted tees look dressier than a regular t-shirt and do are not tucked in, meaning more room for pumpkin pie, right?

Jeans and a poncho sweater

Here’s another great look that incorporates a looser fitting top. I love the style factor on poncho sweaters. They look great layered over a t-shirt and worn with jeans and boots or flats. If you don’t want a turtleneck style, here’s another great option.

Jeans with an vest layered over a tee

I love these plaid sweater vests layered over a plain long-sleeve tee and worn with jeans especially if it’s not quite warm enough for sweater weather where you live! Amazon has them in solid tones as well. These are SO versatile!

Kimono layered with a tee and slim fit pants

I love the look of a kimono. It’s dressy but casual at the same time.

If you’re looking for shoe options, I highly recommend short boots! Love these from Koolabura (UGG brand), these Steve Madden suede booties in a beautiful rich cognac color or these from Blowfish Malibu. A dressier hiking boot is also always a good choice, especially if you go for a post-turkey walk!

What’s your go to comfortable outfit this fall?
