Dog Days $50 Target Gift Card Giveaway

If you know me then you know I am a huge dog lover. In fact with three dogs now at our house I am probably just one dog away from being a crazy dog lady (if I’m not there yet!) Now I don’t dress my dogs up or make them gourmet meals, but they are definitely spoiled! You know that old saying, dog days of summer? Well it’s pretty much dog days every day at my house.

Our dogs are a huge part of our family. Zoey, Lucas and Callie (our newest dog family member and my mom’s dog) are all bona fide mutts. They all have very distinct personalities and they have stolen our hearts in different ways.

Zoey has been with us the longest. She literally ran into our lives in December 2012…on the day after Christmas! She had gotten loose in the neighborhood and came right on in and jumped in my husband’s recliner. She stole our hearts and after learning that her owners were looking for a new family to take her in, she’s been a big part of our lives!

Callie is our country girl! She is my mom’s dog and my mom is unable to take care of her now so she’s moved in and made herself right at home and on to the couch.

Lucas is our wild man. He’s a chihuahua and Pug mix who was adopted from the Nashville Humane Association.

Dog Days Lucas

As a dog lover I’ve been asked to help spread the word about a cute new family friendly movie, Dog Days. There aren’t many PG movies to choose from these days so it’s great to see a good family choice at the theatres this fall!

See the official movie trailer below and movie synopsis below!

Dog Days is a hilarious and heartfelt ensemble comedy that follows the lives of multiple dog owners and their beloved fluffy pals. When these human and canineโ€™s paths start to intertwine, their lives begin changing in ways they never expected. This is a sweet film about the joy our furry friends bring into our lives and what they can teach us about treating people with kindness and compassion. DOG DAYS releases in theaters in August 8 and features several actors you may know, including Vanessa Hudgins, Eva Longoria and Finn Wolfhard (of Stranger Things fame.)

To celebrate the opening of this fun family movie, perfect for a back to school celebratory outing, I’m giving away a $50 Target gift card to one lucky reader!

I have a 9 yo cockapoo named Buzz. He’s about 40 pounds and black except for a little grey. A lot of people mistake him for a Portuguese Water Dog. I took him to a new vet one time and he asked me “Is he Portuguese?” and I responded “I think he’s American”. Haha. I didn’t realize he was asking me about his breed!
