2017 Spring Fashion Trends to Follow at Century 21

This is a sponsored post for Century 21 Department Store. As always, all opinions expressed on my blog are mine, all mine!

Spring is finally here in Nashville! Although I am a boots, jeans and sweaters kind of mom I do love spring weather and packing away heavier clothing for lighter and brighter outfits, sandals and short sleeves (I just wish my white legs would cooperate).

I’ve been doing some window shopping online and I’ve found a ton of great trends on Century 21 and many are on sale. Check out their New + Now section for new arrivals. Here are some current trends I am loving for your spring fashion wish list that are hot and that won’t break your budget!

Floral Prints

Floral is big right now. I have to admit I am not a big fan of all-over prints because of my petite frame, but if there is any season that begs for cheerful prints it’s spring! If you’re a bit reticent to go for the full-on floral, consider a blouse or even a fun floral print shoe. (Be sure to continue reading!)

This petite printed surplice shift dress is a winner on three counts – the flattering shift silhouette, the tie at the neck which is super hot right now AND the floral print. Win, win, win! It’s also on major sale right now so there you go!

Stripes AND Ruffles

Stripes and ruffles combined are a winning duo this season. This off-the-shoulder top is crisp, clean and on trend for spring! The subtle pom pom fringe detail is just a little touch that sets this blouse apart. It’s marked down to just $24.99 this weekend.

Embroidered Detail

Spring accessories just beg for a little South of the Border detail. Embroidered accents on everything from bags to blouses is in for spring. I am a big fan of wedge heels as they are oh so comfy. Is it just me or are these wedge sandals from Kenneth Cole Reaction just perfect for spring? Plus right now they are less than $50. I guarantee these would be a statement shoe with jeans, white pants or a dress.

Point-toe flats

Looking for a flat that stands out on its own? Point-toe flats with a bit of detail, such as cut out design or ankle ties, are really in for spring. These also come in a soft blush shade and black.

Dramatic sleeves

On the other end of the spectrum from embroidered detail is clean line silhouettes with dramatic sleeves. I love this poplin off-the-shoulder blouse!

Embroidered top

So…maybe you’re like me and in your late 40s and gravitate toward sleeves but still want a top that is on trend for spring. This Jessica Simpson Embroidered Tristan Top is delicate for spring and summer and has beautiful detail. This would look great with jeans and it’s currently on sale for just $23.30!

Jewelry that pops

Statement necklaces haven’t really gone away, but the trend toward more streamlined jewelry is in. I’m a big fan of small earrings that pack a big punch. I love these clover motif stud earrings in a beautiful coral color. Plus? They are just $9.99 ya’ll!

Clean layers

My office is super chilly and I like having a cardigan on hand. For summer days you may want to layer up but add something more simple and with clean lines. I love this fringe-trimmed sleeveless cardigan vest that is 50 percent cashmere/50 percent linen. It’s perfect for spring days and summer nights! It also comes in a great pale blue denim shade.

Spring shades are always a little subtle and softer. You may be heading to a spring brunch, a graduation ceremony or wedding and need a small clutch. I love this blush shade clutch from Jessica McClintock.

Tassels are your friend

Need an every day spring and summer bag that holds a lot and looks great doing so? I love this Leila Embroidered Bag for every day casual toting about town. A trendy bag is a great way to add a little fashion statement to your outfit without investing a lot.
