Cheekwood is a longstanding Nashville tradition. The gardens are beautiful in the spring and summer, especially, and Cheekwood has something for everyone year round.
We just visited the new Cheekwood Holiday Lights display, now in its second year, and it’s definitely a must do during winter break!
Here are 7 reasons to visit Cheekwood Holiday Lights:
One MILLION lights – The gardens are decorated with one million lights. The one-mile walk is a peaceful and beautiful way to spend a cold winter evening!
Sunday Story Time with Santa – Take the little ones to hear stories read by Santa himself.
Holiday Carolers – This was such a pleasant surprise to us and we bought the carolers’ CD of music to enjoy in our car this Christmas!
Cheekwood Mansion Decorated in Christmas Finery – We love visiting Cheekwood but have never seen it decorated for the holidays. It’s a beautiful sight to see and a great way to warm up during your visit.
S’mores Fire Pits – Warm up by a fire pit and roast a s’more or three. They are the perfect sweet treat and way to keep warm!
Poinsettia Tree – This gorgeous tree in the Loggia of the mansion is made up of 500 real poinsettias and is the perfect snap a selfie spot (or family picture opp!)
Real Reindeer – Holly and Jolly, two of Santa’s most trusted reindeer have made a special visit to Nashville this winter.
If you are looking for something to do with visitors from out of town, or a holiday outing for your friends and family I highly recommend Cheekwood this Christmas. My tween and teen loved it and the hubby and I enjoyed a hot toddy! For more information, visit Cheekwood’s website.
