If you know me in real life or have been reading my blog for a while you know I traveled to Nairobi, Kenya in 2013 with my friend Rene Cook, founder of the nonprofit Every Girl Counts.
It was honestly the most impactful travel experience I have ever been on in my life. We met with single moms in Kibera, one of the largest slums in the world, and young girls and young women all trying to make better lives for themselves through education and work.
