It was honestly the most impactful travel experience I have ever been on in my life. We met with single moms in Kibera, one of the largest slums in the world, and young girls and young women all trying to make better lives for themselves through education and work.
When SOKO contacted me about featuring their beautiful and modern handcrafted jewelry made by women in Kenya, I didn’t hesitate to say yes.
When my gold Kazi Cuff bracelet arrived, I fell in love with it. It looks beautiful by itself as well as stacked with my other bracelets. On the left it features my initials handstamped and on the right it features the initials of Benta, the artisan and all around super mom of three who made it. I love the packaging and connecting with the woman who made my bracelet through a special card.
The Kazi Cuff is reasonably priced at $45 and I love the message it represents. If you like the style of this cuff, you may also want to check out their other jewelry items: rings, necklaces and earrings SOKO has a great $50 and under section on their website if you want to click around and browse. Their pieces are modern and elegant and can look equally as beautiful with a little black dress or your favorite jeans and cozy sweater. I also love the Minimal Cube Pendant priced at $50 and and Horn Dot Bangle Set, which is $78. The Choose Adventure Bracelet provides $10 to help a farmer feed one person in their community. My next purchase, however, may e the SOKO + UNTF bracelet which also supports UNTF programs to prevent violence against women around the world.
Here’s an exclusive link which will give you a $15 credit for SOKO (and I’ll get a $15 credit if you place an order so it’s a win/win/win situation and you can get the Kazi Cuff for $30!!.) If you’re looking for a beautiful piece of statement jewelry that is understated and elegant but packs a powerful story, this is a great gift for the super mom or woman in your life. SOKO also offers free shipping on ALL orders which is equally as awesome.
I so hope you all check out this line of jewelry.
TGIF! I am exhausted. I think every year it takes me a little longer to recovery from the holidays and I didn’t even cook Thanksgiving!
