My girls are always up for a new adventure. I’d seen the signs for Treetop Adventure Park Nashville ropes course at Nashville Shores and wanted to try it and recently took my teen and one of her best friends to try it out.

Treetop Adventure Park has ropes courses for age 7 and up and also is home to the longest zip line in the state of Tennessee (40 feet long!) My 11-year-old went earlier in the summer with her best friends and gave it rave reviews so I was looking forward to seeing what this experience was all about. Confession: I am afraid of heights so this first time out I decided to be the official documenter of the afternoon. From my observation, I think I’d enjoy the zip line the best and I may have to add it to my bucket list!

Although Nashville Shores is known for water sport activities, Treetop Adventure Park in Nashville offers a fun series of obstacle courses that include suspended bridges, scramble nets, swinging logs and Tarzan swinging rope jumps.

Treetop Adventure Park is open daily this summer and if you plan a trip you need to purchase your tickets online as they are offering an online ticket special – everyone pays Junior Price of $34.99. This special price is only available 48 hours prior to arrival date and is only available online and not at the gate. Adult tickets are usually $49, so this is a great deal!

Booking in advance by calling (615) 889-7050 x215 is highly recommended by the staff at Treetop Adventure Park. Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled reservation in order to fill out waiver forms and get fitted for your equipment. (Be sure to wear sneakers or other close toed shoes…no flip flops or sandals allowed.) You’ll then go through a practice run with a professional guide. The guide follows along as you complete the courses, should you need pointers on mastering a certain section.

Treetop Adventure has three courses to choose from:

FULL ADULT COURSE – $49.99 plus tax (only $34.99 if you purchase your tickets in advance online)

• Includes all 4 courses (Green, Blue, Red, Black) and two giant zips
• Height requirement: While keeping feet flat on the ground and arms raised above your head, fingertips must be able to touch the height of 5’11″
• Ages 12-17 must have a waiver completed by their parent or legal guardian
• Ages 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older

JUNIOR COURSE (Ages 9 – 11 only) $34.99 plus tax

• Includes the green and blue courses and zips
• Height requirement: While keeping feet flat on the ground and arms raised above the head, fingertips must be able to touch the height of 5’ 9”
• Must be accompanied by an adult 18+ (1 adult per 3 minors)
  *Note: If the guides or staff determine a child participating on Junior Course should not continue due to difficulty, child must come down from the course which he or she is participating on.

KID’S COURSE (Ages 7 – 11 only) $24.99 plus tax

• Includes the kids course only; can go through course twice
• Height requirement: While keeping feet flat on the ground and arms raised above the head, fingertips must be able to touch the height of 4’ 7”.

There are four junior/adult courses and if you do them all it takes about three to four hours to complete. My daughter and her friend completed two of the courses and then went on the zip line, all of which took about three hours one Sunday afternoon.

My daughter and her friend loved the two obstacle courses they completed, and the zip line was a first for both girls. What a fun way to end an afternoon testing their obstacle course skills! Although it was definitely challenging, they loved it and were talking about a return visit.
