Giddy Over Green: Styling Green Jeans

I’ve come to the realization that I love me some black. I mean seriously if you glance at my closet, I own a LOTTA BLACK. Now back in the 80s when I was in high school and starting college this would have been considered alternative (I think today it’s more Goth.)

The funny thing is I love color! Turquoise, deep pinks, and greens, especially. I’ve been trying to add more color to my wardrobe so when I spied a pair of kelly green jeggings at my favorite thrift store (Lord help me but they are in a size larger than I usually wear so they work) I grabbed them! They are the perfect vibrant and fresh color for spring (and going into summer). Pardon my hair…it’s Friday, we have major humidity and ain’t nobody got time for a blowout today.

Styling Green Jeans

Alright I ended up pairing my green jeans today with sandals I snagged on Zulily, an Ann Taylor stripe tee, an open black cardi from Zulily and a fun blingy necklace from J Crew outlet at Opry Mills here in Nashville.

Here’s a tip, if you are at a loss at how to incorporate something into your wardrobe, then do a quick search on Pinterest for styling ideas.

Here are some great looks I’ve found for styling green jeans via Pinterest:

green jeans and mint blazer

green skinny jeans vest hat

graphic tee and skinny jeans

green and bluemixing patterns solid jeans

Which green outfit is your fave? I love the last look that mixes stripes and florals but I need to find a fun floral top! Be sure to visit my Get In Mah Closet board on Pinterest for more inspiration and “real mom” outfits.
