This time last year I was looking for the perfect spring dress to wear to my niece’s wedding in upstate New York. Whether you have a bridal or baby shower to attend or you’re headed to Nashville’s Steeplechase, you might need help finding dresses on a budget. My new favorite online consignment store is ThredUp. Not only have I bought a few things for myself and my older daughter, but I have also consigned some clothes. It’s not a huge pain in the rear like traditional consignment sales, either. No wire hangers! Thank you sweet baby Jesus! And no pinning index cards and hunting down safety pins. ThredUp will send you a postage-paid bag to fill up and ship back to them. They do all the work. Easy peasy.
I donate a lot of clothing to local thrift stores, but it’s nice to have a consignment option for some newer or more expensive pieces. You can also opt for either shopping credit or get cash back from any of your items that sell on ThredUp. There’s even a fundraising option for groups seeking to raise cash for programs or projects.
Check out these super cute budget friendly spring dress options I found on ThredUp and all for less than $50 (and most around the $30 range.) Most are at least half off and this first dress in a pretty turquoise color (one of my favorite colors) is 78% off and new with tags. Double bonus! And here’s a link to a special code for a $10 credit which will come in handy: http://www.thredup.com/r/QWHNRA

Do you have a favorite dress featured here? I really love the first two dresses. I’ve features several strapless little numbers and while I like them I’d probably pair them with a cardigan. I need to work on my Michelle Obama triceps! Have you ever shopped consignment before? I love it and the search engine on ThredUp makes it very easy to find colors, sizes, and even styles.
I’m linking up to Fashion Friday, hosted by some fashionable bloggers like Jo-Lynne Shane, who regularly features fabulous looks for all of us 40-plus mamas!
