It’s tough to feel fashionable when you’re bundled up but spring is right around the corner ya’ll.
I thought I’d share some great must haves for layering up without looking like the abominable snowman! It’s also the perfect time to invest in some winter pieces since retailers are clearing their shelves to make way for spring fashion (praise the Lord and pass the flip flops!)
A Great Wrap
I literally stopped a woman the other day to compliment her gorgeous leopard wrap coat. I love this wrap coat on sale on Zulily this weekend for just $49.99 and it comes in a few color choices. It’s classic and feminine and would make a great winter wardrobe staple.
Blanket Scarf
A plaid blanket scarf is always in style. I love this option from Shop Blue Avenue for just $22 and there are a TON of ideas on Pinterest for wearing blanket scarves! Amazon is also a great resource for blanket scarves, such as this one for only $12.95.
Cashmere
Cashmere is a great investment piece to search for after the holidays. I love this cashmere poncho from Pink Apple Shop and it comes in great colors. Can’t afford 100% cashmere? A cashmere blend is more reasonably priced, such as this great travel poncho on Amazon.
Great Boots
I know wedges and heels are in but let’s face it, I’m not the most coordinated soul in the world and if I’m dodging ice patches in the parking lot I need a little boot with some sturdiness. I love these cozy sweater boots from Muk Luks!
A Colorful Scarf
I love this beautiful purple cashmere scarf from Brooks Brothers featured on ThredUp! (and if you sign up through my referral link you’ll get a $10 shopping credit). Schoola is also another great online consignment store which benefits local schools and you’ll get $20 to shop if you click through my sign-up link.
Speaking of colorful and cashmere, you can find a lot of great designer deals at ThredUp such as Burberry. This gorgeous scarf is 69% off!
A Chic Hat
I’ll admit I’m not much of a hat person. If you are a hat person, however, and I envy you then isn’t this newsboy cap fun? Amazon also has a lot of great hats in a solid print.
I also love this fedora from San Diego Hat Company.
So maybe you’re not into the hat thing. How pretty is this warm headband on clearance (hurrah) for just $14.99 on Sundance?
Go With The Faux (Fur)
I’ve seen fur vests everywhere this winter. I love this look I found on Pinterest put together with a vest from Chic Wish. I also love this look.
What are your favorite ways to still keep your fashion cool during winter?
Fun Footwear
I love these thigh-high socks on Zulily. Boot cuffs and leg warmers are also really in right now!
Iām linking up to Fashion Friday today, which is hosted by some fabulous blogs such as Jo-Lynne Shane who provides her tips for what to wear to a winter wedding today.
