never realized what a BIG difference something small like lighting can make in your home. Lighting can make such an impact on the mood and ambience that frame all the little moments in our daily lives, from getting ready in the morning to sitting down at the family dinner table.
Our new GE reveal 75 watt halogen light bulbs arrived a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to share the amazing difference the lighting made in our home!
I think the difference is very obvious. The before photos, on the left, show the yellowish tinge our old traditional light bulbs cast, but with the GE reveal bulbs, the colors in our home are vivid, and enhanced. Beginning this year, 40 and 60-watt incandescent light bulbs, which are more energy inefficient, will be phased out in the U.S., per regulations of the U.S. Energy Independence and Security Act. This is where GE reveal light bulbs come in. They have the same familiar shape and size of the incandescent bulbs we all grew up with lighting our homes, but they have the added benefit of being both energy efficient AND aesthetically pleasing.

GE reveal bulbs give off a crisp, white light that makes the colors in your home pop, while filtering out yellow light. They also are designed with energy-efficient technology that allows them to last over a decade (based on three hours of usage a day.)
I’ve been really pleased with the difference our new light bulbs have made in our home this winter, especially with such dreary, dark days.
