This giveaway is over! Fellow Nashville mom blogger Jessica from The Mom Creative won the adorable holiday book and the Starbucks gift card. Congrats Jessica!
It’s a holiday rite of passage for most parents…you dress your little one up like a walking talking Christmas present in head to toe green and red, head out to meet the fat man in a red suit, get your cameras ready, and the second they set eyes on the jolly old elf they freak out.
Seriously. What kind of sadistic nation of parents are we?
Of course my girls have only warm and fuzzy memories of meeting Santa for the very first time.
Who is this STRANGE MAN? NOOOOOOOOO! (My older daughter Miss C, age 2.)
I thought we could have a fun little Christmas link up and share all of our not so finest (but perhaps funniest) Santa moments from childhood. I’ve even created a Holly Jolly blog button for use with your post:
Post a picture of your favorite scary Santa moment on your blog or your Facebook page (with a link back to this post) by midnight CST Sunday, December 16, and I’ll select a winner at random and perhaps even share some of your pics on my Facebook page. The picture could be of your kids, your grandkids, or even one from your own childhood. The not so scary prize will be an adorable paperback edition of Mary Engelbreit’s A Merry Little Christmas: Celebrate From A to Z from Harper Collins and a $5 gift card to Starbucks for a little holiday treat to soothe your spirits while you’re out doing some last minute shopping.
Leave a comment below with a link to your post if you’re in on the fun!
I think I have one or two photos with my kids with Santa. It just wasn’t worth the fight. I was always amazed at the parents who had children who smiled so big to sit in some strangers lap……
Kaye, mine smiled but only when they were much older! 🙂
Cute idea! My kids hardly got the chance to cry — they move the kids through so quickly at those Santa photo opps!
Where is Santa Monkey?
When my son was 2, he was NOT a fan of Santa. Wondering if the same will happen for Adeline this year (see photo here) http://www.themomcreative.com/2009/12/december-daily-part-two.html
Jessica, I love it and I saw your super sweet photo from this year. Looks like Adeline loved Santa! 🙂
Last year’s was my absolute favorite!!
