My friend took my daughter and hers to the mall a couple of weeks ago and stopped by the Mac counter. She let them get their lipstick done. Yeah. Not something I really wanted my 5yo to know about yet.

We recently went to France and I told my husband I wanted to pop into Sephora, since they don’t have any here in Switzerland. He asked “what about the girls?” and I said “don’t worry about them, they won’t get bored” and so I marched in with the two of them, and of course they loved it. one of the biggest draws was a beauty case that looked a lot like the one your daughter has 🙂

i was definitely a little girl who was interested in makeup. i loved playing ‘dress up’ + putting it on at home, especially red lipstick, + i loved when my mom would let me do her makeup. granted, she could never go out of the house after an unsteady 8-year-old applied her eyeshadow, but it was still a great bonding experience + such a fond memory. 🙂
