The Perils Of Show And Tell

You know how you struggle to help your kid find the perfect show and tell item for the letter N because it’s study the letter N week and you finally settle on notebook and she’s so proud and she brings her mini notebook home that afternoon, the one with the monkey on the cover, and the pages flip open and you realize that it’s the one that your husband wrote silly things in to make her laugh like “Mommy smells like cheese” in bright green ink?

Nah, me neither.

Show and tell is always tough. Fortunately with mine in 2nd and 5th grade we do not have that anymore. I’m sure the teacher got a good laugh and your husband should now write things like “Mommy is the most wonderful, awesome, perfect mommy in the whole wide world.”

Show and tell is always so tough. You want it to be something fun and cool, but it also has to fit the theme. What a cute notebook though, wonder if the teacher read the note out loud?

Thankfully I am friends with Miss A’s teacher so I’m sure she thought it was hilarious. Plus she is lenient on the “hard letter weeks” like Q…gah!

Oh my lord, that is so funny! I bet the teacher did get a good laugh over the cheese comment. 🙂

The only thing I could think of for the letter Q is ‘q-tips’ or maybe a ‘quiche’ (sp?) — might wanna call dibs on those now before the other kids do. That’s a wicked hard one! LOL

N … Maybe she should have brought “nothing” instead. =>

But if you smell like a nice, mild Parmesan, that’s not so bad, is it?

i know, i know! a square of material used to make a quilt. or a plastic figurine of a bee with a crown (queen bee) or a quiet child (nah, that would never work :P) photo of a quail? a quail’s egg. a quill! i never had show and tell when i was a kid. singapore doesn’t do fun things like that. 🙁
