Praise The Lord And Pass The iPhone

We have a winner! Rowena at Rostitchery is the winner of the $25 iTunes gift card. Thanks to everyone who entered!

It’s no secret that I love my iPhone and it’s my new BFF that goes with me everywhere. If I was a knitting mama I’d knit it little soft fuzzy pink sweaters I heart it so much.

Kijiji, ebay’s new free online classifieds website, asked me to submit my favorite family friendly iPhone apps in celebration of their new iPhone app which is totally free to download. It’s a great way to browse your local classified ads and even reply to listings or post your own stuff to sell.

See what I had to say about one of my favorite apps, along with some other great mom bloggers (like one of my favorite Cincinnati bloggers, Shannan from Mommy Bits) who are iPhone groupies, too. Apparently I’m not the only mom on the block who has found that apps are a great way to multitask, or simply preoccupy an antsy kid in line at the grocery store.  I also recommended Fandango’s app, as well as Balloonimals, a super cute kid-friendly app that’s fun for adults to play around with, too. The best part is, there’s no chance of popping a real balloon so there are no tears. Hurrah!

Kijiji has offered a $25 iTunes gift card to one lucky BlondeMomBlog reader! Simply leave a comment here about your favorite iPhone app and what you like about it. Anything is fair game as I have a SpongeBob app on my phone. You know…for the kids. Wink, wink. A random winner will be chosen from all eligible entries left by midnight Saturday, August 8. For an extra entry, Tweet about this giveaway, but do leave an extra comment here telling me you’ve done so. Thanks and good luck! (Contest open to residents of the U.S. or Canada.)

Disclosure: I did not receive any payment or compensation in any form for this post…I’m just an iPhone nerd and thought this would be a fun giveaway for my readers.

Does it count that I REALLY want one and am hoping to get one for Christmas. I love to play with my friends iPhones. One has a great photo/camera app that gives you really cool effects on the photos you take.

  2. Lea A says:

I forgot to add my favorite part about it, we have dogs that will chase a lazer pointers dot across the room… It is pretty funny!

  3. Susan says:

I don’t have an iphone, but my favorite app on the ipod is the labrynth game. Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. Lorraine says:

My daughter loves to play the skeetball. She is 2 and is sooo good at it 🙂
My nephews love getting our two phones and use the StarWars lightsaber app.

iTunes GC would be so great!!!

  6. Rachel Ricchio says:

Honestly, my favorite application is the scriptures program! I don’t ever have to bring them to church 🙂

  7. Urban Mom says:

As a St. Louis native living blocks from Wrigley Field, I love the one that counts how many games it’s been since the Cubs won The World Series. That’s all it does. So elegant in it’s simplicity. (evil giggle)

i don’t have an iPhone, although i think if i had one, i think the barcode reader mentioned above would be handy.

oh, who am i kidding–i’d never leave the internet if i was constantly connected.

the real reason i want the gift card is for my husband, he loves music to the point of distraction, but it is a luxury for us.

I FINALLY got my new iPhone 3 weeks ago. I am in love. I want to marry it.

Does the camera count as my favorite app? I love the video. I have taken so much video and pix of my kids since getting it.

I also like the voice memo. I recorded my daughter singing her version of “Singing in the Rain.” The voice memo wasn’t necessarily intended for that, but its a great way to capture your children telling a good story or saying first words.

As far as apps I’ve downloaded. I like iDisk because I can use it with my .me account and have some useful PDF’s and docs there that I like to have access to.

Of course the Zippo lighter is fun!

I need to download some apps for my kids.

  14. Leighann says:

I thought I would pop back over and say that I just put the bubble wrap app on my phone and my two-year-old giggles! But now I’m thinking I shouldn’t have shown him that mommy’s phone is fun!
