A Country Girl Can Survive, Especially In This T-Shirt

My fine, fine Southern mama friend Debunot won the Southern Brand giveaway! Be sure to check my review blog, Savvy Housewife, every week for a new giveaway. I typically post giveaways there on Mondays and currently have one running for Little Debbies (speaking of Southern.)

I’m extending the deadline for entering until midnight June 24!

We’re on vacation right now in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida! If you want to read my sun-dappled brain, sand in my shoes, flip flops and margaritas vacation Tweets, be sure to follow me on Twitter.
I had seen, and coveted, Southern Brand t-shirts when they were featured on Cool Mom Picks recently so I was thrilled when they asked me if I’d like to review a sample t-shirt and sponsor a reader giveaway. I don’t post many giveaways here since I launched Savvy Housewife last May, but occasionally I run out of things to ramble on about because maybe just maybe we’ve been getting ready to go on vacation and I’ve been busy packing and stressing over getting to the airport on time and then I remember I have a great giveaway to post. I’m that scientific.

The toughest part was narrowing down my choice of shirt to review. I’m an indecisive bird at heart so it was tough. I ended up choosing the Top Shelf t-shirt in bark and I packed that baby up for our beach trip. These are great fitted t-shirts that are flattering and have that broken in vintage softness look and feel. This shirt looks great with jeans or a skirt and flip flops.

I love that they call their line of kids’ t-shirts Sweet Tees and they have a great line of onesies for the future bubbas and belles in your life. If you’re looking for a cool Father’s Day gift for your favorite Southern dad, be sure to check out Southern Brand’s men’s line of t-shirts. And yes they have that cowhide koozie you’ve always wanted.

Want to win a t-shirt (winner’s choice) from Southern Brand? Take a look at their online store. Come back to this post and comment about your favorite item. A random winner will be chosen from all eligible comments left by midnight Sunday, June 21. U.S. addresses only. For an extra entry, link to this giveaway from your blog or Tweet about, but please leave an extra comment telling me you’ve done so.

Feelin’ antsy and want to order a shirt today? Take 10% off all orders with the code BELLE at checkout.

Why yes, I WOULD like free stuff! This brand is new to me. I’d LOVE to get “This Ain’t My First Rodeo” for a friend of mine who loves cowboys (even though her hubby isn’t one).

  2. DBN says:

I have been waiting for this contest! I love their shirts. I think I want the Southern Belle one, but I actually like the blue or gray better, so maybe the “Southern” or the BBQ one…
So many choices! I know I want to buy the Southern Belle one for my diva daughter.

  3. Steph. says:

I’ve been so bad about getting on Twitter lately. Gotta get back to that. Have a great vacation. Oh, I love the blue Queen Bee shirt best!

  4. Hallie says:

I was wondering if you might be willing to mention my raffle/fundraiser. I would NOT ask if it wasn’t for a great cause. Plus, there are over 90 donated prizes to win totaling over $3000.00! And who doesn’t like to win??

It’s really a win-win for everyone. People get to help me meet my fundraising goal AND potentionally win big.

Yesterdat was the 6th anniversary of my Dad’s heart transplant. I am more determined than ever to give back in a big way.

This is the comment I have been leaving on certain blogs in hopes that the word will get out about what I’m trying to do.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE clickover and enter my raffle!! You can truly win TONS OF PRIZES (totaling over $3000.00 – goft crds, Starbucks coffee maker, $600 in camping equipemtn, gorgeous jewelry).

    It’s for a great cause

Hi I found your giveaway through Twitter! One of my personal favorite features of using Blog Sweeps to promote my giveaways is that they tweet it, too. I followed their tweet for your giveaway. Fabulous!

My favorite tee from Southern Brand is Queen Bee in Ocean Blue. I think I would need a large. Oh, do the sizes run true?

    Michigan addy ready!

  6. Tracy says:

I love the ocean blue color – – like it both with “Country” and “Top Shelf”

Sizes are limited though… Would love to see a shirt that said “A Country Girl Can Survive”

  7. Amy says:

Hey Chicky! I hope you are having a wonderful time!! I saw this on your tweets and confess I’ve been waiting on the code! I love the County one and Southern Belle. I think I am going to order Country today. 🙂

  8. Amanda says:

I like the one that just says “Southern”. It’s simple and, at least for me, half true! When I get angry though, I am ALL southern, just ask my husband =)

  9. Trina says:

I like the Country tee in Shady Navy, pretty much sums up everything 😉 These look so soft! PS I am having a giveaway myself if you wanna stop by and enter.

  10. Suz says:

I dig the Blue t-shirt that says Country. Too bad they don’t have a Bluegrass one – that would be even MORE awesome!

  11. Aimee W. says:

Such a tough decision…there are so many choices! I believe my favorite is the Women’s Vintage Queen Bee t-shirt.

  12. Carol says:

My fav is the ornate queen bee shirt (and the brown top shelf, and the blue country shirt). Love them all!!

  13. Liz says:

I am here from Suburban Turmoil and I just read about your crazy monsoon vacation story. Hilarious! Anyway, I was born in Virginia and lived in Georgia but have spent most of my life here in Minnesota. I always refer to myself as a southern belle even though I’m as Yankee as they come so I would chose the “Southern Belle” T-shirt. How cute and fun!

  14. Cpickles says:

Hi! Love your pics from St. Augustine. We’re going there for the 4th.
    Those fitted tees are 2cute.
Enjoy the rest of your vacay!

  15. Betsey Booms says:

Awww, how cute are those shirts? Don’t answer that. I’m pah-retty sure it’s completely obvious.

The T-shirt with the Southern BBQ sign is me entirely. Being married to a boy from Texas and living in the home of BBQ (KC, ftw!) that one is my very favorite.

  16. Faye Butler says:

To be honest, it seems beautiful. While for me, I will choose some T-shirts for my kids in those with bright colors. Because children will be more energetic with them. Anyway, thanks for you recommendation.

Wonderful blog! Do you have any tips and hints for
aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go
for a paid option? There are so many options out
there that I’m completely confused .. Any recommendations?
