15 Seconds Of Fame

Yesterday a friend of mine wrote on my Facebook wall that she’d seen me in the local paper. I logged on to The Tennessean website, searched for my name, and there I was with the girls. A reporter interviewed me and several other local mom bloggers last week in conjunction with this weekend’s Blissdom Conference, but I wasn’t sure when the article was running. They were going to photograph Busy Mom but she was too busy. (Seriously…she was off on a Campbell’s Soup junket.)

I didn’t see the actual story in the newspaper until last night when the hubby got home with a very cranky and hungry Miss A. He told the girls he had a surprise for them, held the paper up, and said “Look girls! You and mommy are in the newspaper!”

Miss A responded by saying, “I want PIZZA WOLLS!”

So much for my local media hype.

Click on over to see me and the girls in all our glory, and please note my breakfast bar is never that barren. I just strategically hid the piles of paperwork and miscellaneous stuff that usually covers it for the photo shoot.

Good article! And it reminds me that I’d better step away from the computer and get something done around the house.

Cute picture! And I liked what you and Elizabeth and Alli had to say. It’s so hard to explain blogging to people. Comparing it to knitting or book club seems helpful.

Ah, kids. They see through all that glitz, fame a glamor to the true you: maker of food. 🙂 Congrats on the article!

Great article! It is so true that Twitter and Facebook and blogging help me stay connected with other moms, and not feel so isolated. I know I spend way too much time on the computer, but seriously it is the only thing that keeps me completely sane! LOL!
