Saturday Morning Links

And Paris Hilton thought she was having a bad week. I wonder if he was wearing that Dr. Pepper shirt at the time or if they did a little product placement?

The Pioneer Woman Cooks is an awesome new cooking blog. And I don’t even like to cook.

Is there a term for people who want to be domestic badasses but just like to read recipes and read about well-organized, clean homes? Because that would be me. I’m trying to get our house back on track, though. I just sold our crib and changing table on Craigslist AND…drumroll…donated several boxes of toys and clothes and household items to charity AND I even cleaned out our refrigerator and the nightmarish junk drawer in our kitchen, which housed about 300 pens. I put them in a big ziploc bag and the hubby took them to his office. Now I can fill the drawer up…with more junk.

Speaking of domestic badasses, Home Ec 101 is a great housekeeping tips blog co-founded by Nashville’s Bad Bad Ivy and blogger Heather Solos from Charleston.

These soapsicles made by Jen at Spaghetti Harvest are the cutest things I’ve seen in a long time. And thanks to Miss C and Miss A, I am surrounded by cute on a daily basis.

This CNN interview with the national spelling bee winner is prepubescent awkwardness at its finest. It’s almost too painful to watch, though, so be forewarned.

And last, I knew every word to “Straight Up” in 1988. And now…and now Paula Abdul is going to have her own reality TV show on Bravo. I wonder if there will be any chihuahua tipping?

Oh! My! Gosh! That interview with Speller-Boy was brutal, wasn’t it? I think Thursday will see one of my Thankful Thursday items being “I am thankful that Evan O’Dorney is not one of my students.”

    Still, I can’t say you didn’t warn me. 🙂

I’ll read all that stuff, too. I think of myself as someone who’s too smart to waste my time actually doing all that cooking and cleaning nonsense.

I love love love to cook. Especially when I have the time and energy and lots of money. Thanks for the link to Pioneer Woman Cooks…it’s great!

That news played for days in Michigan. My husband’s dealership does a lot of work for semi-trucks, and it was the major talk of the day. Thank goodness he was okay! But, ugh Paris Hilton. I wish she’d just go away. I’ve recently just started reading Pioneer Woman’s two blogs, and I’m a amazed. A fan was born!
