Mother’s Day Giveaway…Now With More Bling!

UPDATED! OK…I have some winners!

Amelia just drew the names out of a cowboy hat…pretty appropriate for Nashville, huh? Kelly at Filtering Life (be sure to check out the gorgeous photos of her sweet baby girl) won the MetroMamma baby wrap; Liza at Liza’s Eyeview in beautiful Hawaii won the Days Ago digital counter; and Emily, mama to two little boys at A Little Divided, won the cookbook/kitchen guide. Congrats everyone! I will e-mail you later to get your mailing addresses. Thanks for playing along.

I thought I’d celebrate Mother’s Day weekend on le blog by doing my first ever product giveaways. Consider me your Vanna White for the next 60 seconds.

First, is the MetroMamma baby wrap. The giveaway wrap I have is a beautiful light tan color with a fun blingy crown similar to the black wrap Tori Spelling was recently spotted wearing with her little dude (photo via the very cool Celebrity Baby Blog.) The MetroMamma has been called the most secure and comfortable baby wrap on the market. You can throw it in the washing machine with your kids’ clothes and it’s also one-size-fits-all. And, let’s face it, it’s pretty darn fashionable. I had the utilitarian Baby Bjorn for Caitlin and she was such a baby chunko I could barely squeeze her thunder thighs into the thing without crippling myself. This would make a wonderful gift for a mama to be.

Second, is a kitchen gadget that appeals to the forgetful, scatterbrained mama in me. I used to be totally organized but the girls have sucked the lifeblood out of my short-term memory bank. The DaysAgo digital day counter attaches to a variety of surfaces with a magnetic or suction backing. Use it on food containers to let you know how many days ago you opened them. Or use it to keep track of how many days ago you last watered a plant, gave your dog medication, changed your air filter, washed your hair (kidding!), etc.

Third is the Frantic Woman’s Guide to Feeding Family and Friends by Mary Jo Rulnick. At over 400 pages, the book is divided into seasonal menus as well as menus based on weekly and daily specials at the grocery store. I love the first section of the book, the prep work section, because she goes over what you really need as far as cookware, pantry supplies, etc. I think this would make a great housewarming gift or bridal shower present.

To enter the drawing, comment to this post and let me know which item (it can be just one or all three) you would like to be in the running for by midnight Tuesday, May 15 CST. And you don’t have to have a blog to enter, just a valid e-mail address so that I can contact you. Good luck! And Happy Mother’s Day weekend!

Me first! Me first! HA! Put me in for the wrap. Discussed it around the office and it is perfect for my boss. Hey, put me in for that days ago timer doo-hickey too. I think that would be neat!

  2. Charla says:

Hey girl…put me in for the wrap, too!
Can you fit a sqirmy 16 month old in there with a newborn? If I win, I’ll test that out for you and report back!

(oh, and related, yet unrelated…my totally organized, short-term memory backup just happens to be what’s been advertised on you blog for the past couple of weeks…momAgenda! I’ve had mine for 2 months now, and I LOVE it…I would be lost without it! Just wanted to put in a plug for a great product you have advertising on your blog)

  3. Roy Whitlock says:

My wife is the best mom I know to our two little ones. I just know she would love to win any one of the three items.

  4. Jennifer says:

Dude, that recipe organizer is so cool, that appeals to my obsessiveness like you wouldn’t believe.

  5. Shelly says:

Hi Blonde Mom! I just found your blog. It is listed on the Manic Mommies website. I love what I have read here and look forward to reading more.

Being a crazy busy Mom, I could use any of the gifts, but the digital day counter would probably be pretty useful in my world.

  6. Morag says:

I would LOVE the wrap. Oh my stars. I also want to find one that I can get carried around in, because that wrap looks unspeakably comfortable. *fingers crossed that I win*

  7. Blonde Mom says:

I want to apologize for my overzealous SpamKarma program some of you are experiencing. (On the other hand, I highly recommend it for catching nasty Spam!) 😉

I am going to go through the comments to make sure that no legitimate ones get deleted. Thanks!

  8. Richie Ann says:

I’d like to try for the baby wrap too…I already have to wear the ugliest bras and underwear ever…it would be nice to have something pretty on the outside!!! My new baby is due in August…still plenty of time to use it before it gets too cold! And just how great will it be to use for Christmas shopping?

  9. monkeygirl says:

I’m new to your site and I see I came at a good time!!! Put me in for the wrap! I have a sister who’s pregnant with her 4th child and poor, so this would be perfect!

  10. Blonde Mom says:

Amen on the leftovers! We had them for dinner. And what we don’t eat? The dogs get. 😉

  11. Jenny says:

Oh, the wrap please! It’s adorable. If that’s not a reason to step up our plans, I’m not sure what is!

  12. Mrs. Flinger says:

I’m not too late, am I?! The sling, please. Enter me in the sling. Because our little man NEEDS that bling. 😉

  13. Filtering Life says:
