Thankful Thursday

I’m thankful…

that the rain held off Halloween.

for the free concert tix given to us by a friend to the Steve Cropper tribute for the T.J. Martell Foundation at the Ryman Auditorium Wednesday night. It was INCREDIBLE. You haven’t lived until you’ve felt bass reverberate in your boots and booty while John Kay of Steppenwolf sings “Born to be Wild” about 30 feet in front of you.

I didn’t break an ankle, a leg, or some other insignificant bone when I fell during intermission and landed with my left leg in front of me and my right leg folded under me during aforementioned concert. Conclusion…high-heeled boots and those “helpful” floor lights that run along the perimeter of the aisle do not mix. (And I’d only had one glass of wine so that pretty much boils it down to I’m a clutz.)

that I was at a concert when I fell and not a comedy show, where I would no doubt have been heckled mercilessly.

that the seamstress I found on Ebay is finishing the girls’ matching Christmas sets this week and I can get their portrait made for our family card.

for Caitlin whispering to both the hubby and me, “We are the best family” out of the blue last week.

for my day off tomorrow and yoga class.

no more soccer until March! We enjoyed it but we could use a little break from soccerdom.

Oh no, you fell! Sounds like something I would do. Glad you’re alright.
And I’m with you on the ‘No soccer’ yippees. We’re almost done too! Until basketball starts in a couple of weeks . .

    Glad you weren’t hurt!

I don’t know why I always forget you’re in Nashville till you mention something like the Ryman. Must be the ongoing disintegration of my brain cells. It can also cause things like falling during intermissions. 😉

If you or anyone else wants her Ebay name I will e-mail it to you. Just drop me a line at blondemomblog@yahoo.com. They are really cute.

This is my one clothing splurge of the year for the girls. Between hand me downs from my neighbor and clothes from the grandparents at Christmas and birthdays I don’t have to spend much moolah on clothes at all. Wahoo!
