What I’m thankful for this week…
Walking with the hubby and the girls after last night’s thunderstorm in search of a rainbow, and finding one.
Enjoying solitude in the candlelight (our electricity went out for a few hours) after the girls were asleep and the hubby was running errands and hearing nothing but a symphony of crickets.
Having the afternoon off for my birthday.
An appointment today for a body scrub, hydrotherapy soak, AND 60-minute massage. I may have to wear a bib just to keep from drooling all over myself.
Making it to 37 years of age with no gray hair, all my teeth, and most of my sanity.
A date with my best friend, aka my husband, (sappy, sappy) tonight at a restaurant where loud, off-key renditions of “Happy Birthday” are not allowed, but cheesecake and good red wine are.
My big brother e-mailing me this awesome poem from Bangkok, where he is enjoying yet another incredible long stay…
Ten thousand flowers in the spring,
the moon in autumn,
a cool breeze in summer,
snow in winter,
if your mind is not clouded by unnecessary things,
this is the best season of your life.
