Spring Break Zulily $50 Giveaway

This giveaway is closed. The winner is Kyla who commented,”I LOVE LOVE LOVE the zebra halter top I am going to order it now. Thank you for showing it here!

It’s spring break week in Nashville and despite the chilly temperatures of late I have a major hankering for summer. I love opening our windows, trading my boots for flip flops, and shaking off all the trappings of winter.

I’m working with Zulily this year as a blog ambassador and I love getting updates on their sales because I never know what amazing brands they’ll have featured. Before I started working with Zulily I actually assumed they only carried items for children, but I was wrong!

Check out these lovelies from DeVine on sale today (up to 45% off):

Wouldn’t this look beautiful with a tan and a margarita on the rocks?

Love this halter top, which would be gorgeous with white pants and sandals. And a margarita….maybe a frozen one this time.

Another great halter top which would be smokin’ for date night. Oh, and a margarita (I sense a trend…of tequila.) Let’s go for the full pitcher this time, shall we?

On a more traditional note, Zulily also has beautiful smocked dresses from Rosalina on sale today. Smocked dresses go with Southern babies like sweet tea and lemon. I still have a gorgeous smocked Bishop style dress that both my girls wore and I am saving it for grandbabies! Check out this sweet dress with a sailboat motif, perfect for summer vacation portraits at the beach or a special Sunday outing.

Of course my girls are 6 and 8 now and their current fashion sense runs more sassy than sweet. This hat from San Diego Hat Co. has my older daughter written all over it and I love this BeePosh tank top with the funky design for my 6-year-old.

How would you like to win a $50 credit to Zulily to do a little spring shopping?

Simply leave a comment on this post about your favorite item from my picks featured above.

For up to 5 additional entries total (please leave a separate comment for each of these that you do):

Giveaway ends midnight CST Wednesday, March 23. I’ll draw a random winner from all eligible comments using Random.org ; winner will be notified via e-mail. Winner has 72 hours to contact me or I will draw another name. Thanks for entering and good luck!

Meeting In The Ladies Room

I recently wrote about what I recommend fashion wise for conference wear because clearly I am an authority as I sit here early this morning wearing my pajama bottoms and t-shirt and glasses with a lens that keeps popping out.

All kidding aside, I do love to shop and I took full advantage of traveling to New York to buy some cute things, especially cocktail dresses. I just don’t get to shop often enough. But WHO does? Unless you’re on one of those Real Housewives shows…and like those are real depictions of real housewives. Please.

The editor from New York fashion website The High Low (they had me at their Mad Men articles and their philosophy that style can come from anywhere), interviewed me about what I would do to change WalMart if I were in charge of their fashion line.

And yes, I had plenty of opinions.

I was traveling to New York the day we tried to connect and ultimately found that the Philly airport ladies room proved to be a quiet spot for a phone interview. You know…inbetween flushes.

Check it out!

Where do you buy most of your clothes? I’d have to go with TJ Maxx.
