Saturday Morning Links

I was obsessed with only taking a carry-on suitcase to Scottsdale in April for the Bosch Appliances blogger event. Mighty Girl Maggie Mason has great tips for packing light. I wish I could photograph pantiliners and Q-tips in such a cover girl manner!

This Berry Lemonade my friend Rachel posted at A Southern Fairytale looks amazing.

From The Idea Room, love this peanut butter cake recipe and these fresh fruit popsicles, which would be another refreshing summer treat.

This Grilled Chile Lime Corn posted at Faithful Provisions looks delicious for summer.

Here are some great tips for spring cleaning kids’ spaces at Simple Kids. I’m afraid raising a junior hoarder in Miss A. She’ll save a Chiquita banana sticker because “it is special to her.”

My iPhone is a huge battery sucker. Gizmodo has some great tips on how to maximize your iPhone 3G’s battery juice. Do you have any tips?

I’ve got a couple of great giveaways posted over at my review blog, Savvy Housewife. Enter to win this cool, compact Canon portable Selphy Printer (perfect for printing those summer vacation photos) and learn more about National Geographic and Energizer’s Ultimate Photo Contest. I’m also giving away a basket filled with Kraft Food’s latest products and coupons. Just so ya’ll know…I’m now addicted to Ritz Crackerfuls.

With nice spring weather finally here (except for perhaps today... Auntie Em Auntie Em!), I’m finding it tougher to get motivated to blog. Michelle at Scribbit posted a timely article about How To Write When You Have Nothing To Write.

I Twitter stalked Pauline  of Classy Chaos while she was getting all inspired at the Erma Bombeck Writer’s Workshop at the University of Dayton. I’d love to attend this! Karen at Chookoloonks also has a great post about the workshop.

I may have to make these Cinnamon Sugar Twists via The Idea Ro0m with the girls because if I make them by myself I am pretty dang sure I’d devour them in one sitting.

Who else is pumped about seeing Sex And The City 2 in May? Casa Sugar has a sneak peek of the set decor.

If I had a home office that looked like Censational Girl’s I would probably never leave it. (Via Penelope Loves Lists)

Amy at Living Locurto always has the most amazing free printables. Her latest is a very cute kids’ reward jar label.

After my recent ode to Eric Carle, I found this fun Very Hungry Caterpillar birthday party idea at Les Petits Presents.

Speaking of Eric Carle, I’m giving away a gorgeous prize pack of all natural organic bath and body products from Espencial, which are sold at select Target stores, at my review blog. The packaging features artwork from the Very Hungry Caterpillar and the products are yum.

Happy Saturday!

Saturday Morning Links

I haven’t posted a Saturday Morning Links wrap up in a million Saturdays or so but there are a few things I thought I’d tell ya’ll about.

It’s spring cleaning time, or so they say. Ahem. Has your kid suddenly dissed their impressive Dora and Diego DVD collection? At Cool Mom Picks I read about a great way to donate your old children’s DVDs to children’s hospitals and pediatric wards that need them via KidFlicks.org.

Spring means soccer at our house and lots of grass-stained knees. Over at Savvy Housewife, my product review and giveaway blog, I’m giving away an OxiClean Max Force prize pack (but hurry, the giveaway ends at midnight tonight April 18

My husband made grilled tilapia with lemon sauce with a cranberry Waldorf Salad (typed Waldork at first…heh) as a side and it was incredible!

For local readers here in Tennessee I’ve posted information about Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee’s Community Donation drive and I’m giving away a $10 gift card good at 33 locations. $10 goes a long way at Goodwill people!

We had a blast last weekend test driving a Cadillac SRX crossover from Andrews Cadillac in Brentwood, Tennessee, last weekend and the weather was absolutely perfect for a Sunday drive down the Natchez Trace. A few months ago I joined a new consumer car review website called Honk.com as a featured lifestyles blogger and we’ll be reviewing more cars in the future so stay tuned! It looks like I’ll eat my “I’ll never drive a minivan” mantra in the fall….OK so maybe for just a week.

Speaking of beautiful spring weather, it’s National Park Week April 17-25 and the National Park Service is waiving entrance fees to all 392 national parks!

Have a great Saturday everyone! For the first time in weeks we have NO soccer games. Woot!

p.s. Quick informal reader survey question: Do you like link wrap-ups like this? Yes, no, or are you neutral, or as we say at our house, are you medium thumb?
