There’s A New Kid In Town

Meet Zoey.

Zoey found us over the holidays, we found her owners, and it turned out they were looking for a family like us to take her in.

I’m sure I’ll be writing more on this sweet girl later but let’s just say we are a two-dog household once again so the dog hair/human ratio at our house is back to its normal level. I think Bailey would approve.

Too Early For Whiskey, Too Late For A Bloody Mary

Happy Monday!

Wait…that’s any oxymoron, right?

Last Monday wasn’t so bad, but last Wednesday ended up on my naughty list for a good 48 hours. My car started making jacked up clicking noises in the dash (it is definitely something related to my heat but thankfully it’s not the ignition as I originally feared), my hubby was deathly ill, I ran consistently late for everything all day long, and we found out that Miss A will need a tympanoplasty next week to surgically repair her right eardrum that she ruptured with a cotton swab in late August. It’s an outpatient procedure, but I still hate that she’ll have to undergo any sort of surgery. Not to mention the fact that it’s not much of a way to end fall break. I foresee a lot of snuggling and ice cream that day.

In the mean time, I’m just going to think about rainbows, unicorns, and puppies and I’m going to triple check once again that all the cotton swabs in our house are under lock and key.

If you are under the influence of any hormones, be they good, bad, or of the swing vote variety, I suggest you go get a tissue to catch your tears of joy over this sweet video.

You’re welcome.

Happy Happy, Joy Joy, Drool Drool

Someone was very happy to see us yesterday after spending a week in my brother’s backyard and garage while we were in Destin. Old Bailey girl was happy, too, but she preferred to play it cool and nonchalantly gaze out the back window. Jack, however, did not hide hold back the emotions.

Or drool.

We need a dog drool shield for the back seat for such happy reunions.

“Almost home and I can smell the green grass of spring just waitin’ for me to pee on it.

I am majestic. I am loved. I am really stinky. Life is good.”
