 HP 2in1 computer review

If you know me in real life you know I thrive on being busy. I love networking and blogging and this summer I’m starting an exciting new chapter in my career and building my consulting and freelance business. I’m also the newly appointed president of the local Nashville chapter of Femfessionals, a national women’s networking organization. I need to be able to work from anywhere, any time.

There was a time when working from home really didn’t jive that well with me. When the girls were toddlers and preschool age, there were always a million distractions and I had to juggle life (and blogging) between deadlines and diaper changes. In fact, that was my very first blog tagline in the fall of 2005. Now that my girls are older I’m finding that I can be quite productive at my home office, don’t even need to be restricted to four walls or even working from home. My office literally could be anywhere I have a good Wifi connection.

My old laptop has seen better days so I have been absolutely thrilled to test out a new HP Envy X2 Core s part of the Intel 2 in 1 Smart Squad. I love the size as it’s the perfect compromise between a tablet and a laptop. I can easily fit it into a large tote bag whether I am heading out to meet with a client or to a networking event.

The large touchscreen is drool worthy and the Bluetooth keyboard is slim and easy to use when I need to do more than just minimal typing. I love the kickstand that enables me to prop up my 2 in 1. My new HP 2 in 1 device also offers up to twice the battery charge life than most 4-year-old laptops, meaning I can get more work done while I am on the go and I don’t have to worry about finding an outlet. The 2 in 1 also features an Intel Core Processor, meaning it has all the power of a laptop, without the bulkiness.

If you do any type of freelance blogging, writing, or content marketing work or simply need a portable office, the HP Envy X2 2 in 1 is the way to go. Here are my six favorite features:

1. Portability. The HP 2 in 1 is compact and light, making it easy to move from  your home office to your favorite corner coffee shop to a client’s meeting. Portability in today’s busy 24/7 working world is power. I don’t want to be bogged down by a heavy laptop.

2. Touchscreen. Not only is the touchscreen easy to use, but it’s fun to use. You can easily navigate the web or apps or programs with your fingertip. The 13.3 inch screen is the perfect size for working.

3. Battery Life. As I mentioned, the HP ENVY x2 has long-lasting battery life, so there’s no need for me to stress about losing power while in the middle of a blog post or critical email.

4. Kickin’ Sound. I love working to music and just playing music while I’m in the kitchen cooking or tending to our dogs or just hanging out at home. With BeatsAudio and dual speakers, the HP ENVY x2 features amazing, rich sound for playing my favorite music or experiencing videos as they were meant to be experienced!

5. Sweet Silence. My old laptop fan is extremely loud. The new HP ENVY x2 is calm, cool and collected, thanks to an innovative design that eliminates the fan.

6. Wide-View Webcam. Although I haven’t taken advantage of this feature fully yet I am pumped about it! The wide-view HD webcam  captures more of your surroundings and also works well in low-light situations. Since I’m doing so much work remotely, it’s critical that I have an amazing webcam.

I can literally work from anywhere with my new HP Envy x2. Portability is power. The world is my office!
