Fashion Friday: Gymboree Spring Trends In Pinks, Corals, and Blues

Gymboree Girls Spring Fashion 2013

I am so over winter it’s not funny. So when Gymboree (which I have loved since the girls were babies) contacted me about doing a spring fashion review it took me about 2 seconds to say yes. It may be freezing in Nashville but we can dream. My flip flops WILL be unleashed soon.

Miss C is 10 1/2 and can wear a Gymboree size 12, which is the largest available size, and, frankly, I was thrilled that she didn’t view Gymboree as “too little girlish.” Let’s face it, she’s a middle schooler now and fashion must pass a certain cool factor. Anything too blingy? It’s just not gonna happen.

Both my girls tend to be tomboys but they were excited to choose new spring outfits. One thing I love about Gymboree is they always have amazing sales (right now they have a huge selection of $10 tops and shorts…my kind of price!) Lucky for me, my shopping spree was during their 30% off sitewide spring break sale a couple of weeks ago.

The Blooming Nautical collection caught Miss C’s eye. I love the poppy pink Gem Capri Shorts, which she can wear with other tops, and they have a fun rhinestone accents. They come in a great navy color, too. If these came in my size I’d snatch them up! I also love her fun pony tail holder. She always wears her hair up and she can also wear this with so many outfits this spring.

Miss A loved the Rainbow Cabana collection, especially the colorblock skirt.  She chose this fun Make a Splash outfit, which is another great thing about Gymboree…the website features outfits already put together. This is great for busy moms like me who barely have time to get themselves dressed and fabulous every day, much less spend time shopping for new clothes for their kids. Time is a luxury people!

I’m linking up to Fashion Friday, hosted by some fabulous blogs you should be reading, such as Mom Generations.

p.s. I just realized that Gymboree has a women’s brand called Shade. I feel another possible fashion review coming on!

Do you shop at Gymboree? Tell me what you are loving for spring.

Disclosure: The lovely marketing folks at Gymboree sent me a gift card to shop their spring collection.

Your girls are so adorable. I agree with you, can’t wait till the weather warms up. I love gymboree but they can be pretty pricey, so I only go there when I’ve a coupon or when they’ve a sale. They have good stuff though.

OMG! I’d seen Gymboree in the mall, but had never heard of Shade. I just checked out their website, and found two beautiful dresses I liked on sale for $14.99 each! Perfect for work (I hope they fit, although it appears they offer free returns). It’s been a while since I’ve visited your blog, but given that you posted this on my birthday, it was fate!

Your girls are so cute in their new outfits. I just did my spring shopping for my girls this weekend. We went to Burlington Coat Factory. I found some great discounts on really cute Osh Kosh B’Gosh spring clothes. They were about half what they would have cost in a department store and the kids are adorable in them.
