Smokin’ hot Beyonce in black leather half-time performance with some fierce inspired living room dancing by my 7-year-old in her purple pjs, a smokin’ hot pre-game performance by Alicia Keys, inspiring singing from the Sandy Hook Elementary children’s chorus and great football aside, last night’s Super Bowl also featured some pretty great TV ads.

I missed the anthem,
but I did think Beyonce was by far the best half time show I’d seen in quite a few Super Bowls. A little too much suggestive gyrating for me—her concerts are one thing, but America onstage to the world and our little ones is another—but that aside, I think her energy and charisma carried the show. I think she blew away Madonna, and all the older rockers (whom I all love) from years past.

also, my fav commercial was allstate—you have to be at least moderately literate about world history to get that one—and i am so happy that mr. gangnam style is getting some mileage out of his creativity!
I agree totally on the too much gyration going on especially since my girls were SO into watching the half-time show and they were glued to every second of gyrating!
I have to admit that I missed most of the game as I was babysitting. But I did catch bits and pieces of half-time and this liberal lady thinks the costume was tacky and way to seductive for a half-time football game. Much more appropriate for a pole dance bar.
