My girls when they were much “littler” enjoying a Summer Saturdays program at the Tennessee Agricultural Center!
Now that I’m gainfully unemployed (for the time being any way!), I’m all the more motivated to find inexpensive fun family outings.
Here are just a few great kid must dos in Nashville, and beyond, for free or nearly free:
Carmike Cinemas Summer Kid Series through Aug. 9 – $2 for a kid’s flick (older features but good ones), popcorn AND a drink. You can’t beat that, especially with the price of 3D movies. Don’t get me started…
Leiper’s Fork Lawn Chair Kid’s Movie Night – Movies on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month now through August.
Home Depot Kids Workshop – Every first Saturday of the month. Miss A is so wanting to do this!
Two-Punch Tuesdays at Sweet CeCe’s – Love getting our sweet tooth on for cheap!
Free Craft Events at Michael’s - Another great crafty kid idea.
Sonic Happy Hour – Every day from 2 to 4 p.m. you can get drinks and slushes for 1/2 price. And milkshakes are 1/2 price after 8 p.m. My waistline is not really happy about this discovery, but it’s been perfect since Miss C’s soccer camp ends, conveniently, at 8 every night this week.
Frist Center – Free admission for kids ages 18 and younger.
Moe’s – Kids eat free on Tuesdays. We love hearing “Welcome to Moe’s!”
Tip: For a great website listing other kids eat free options in your neighborhood, check out Out to Eat With Kids (great search engine!)
Wishing Chair Productions – The Nashville Public Library’s marionette shows are amazing!
Warner Park Nature Center – Great Summer Saturdays programs and more.
