The winner of the $100 gift card to Cambria Cove is Mrs. K who commented, “Wow- I have never been on Cambria Cove’s site before and I am in love with everything now. I love the Purse Hanger by Luxe Link – Champagne Swarovski. I have been looking for a purse hanger for a few weeks now. I also would get the Lori Bonn “Love Letter” and Birthstone Necklace. Thanks for the great giveaway.” Congrats to her!
I’m going to extend the deadline for entering this giveaway until midnight Wednesday, October 28…just consider it my Halloween treat for ya’ll, OK?
Four years ago today I was working from home with Miss A, who at the time was a wee, dimpled, drooly 7-months-old, and I discovered this thing called blogging. Actually the hubby introduced me to the whole genre of mommy blogs. At the time I was a bit of an online shopaholic. Cough. As a journalism grad and someone who enjoys talking, a lot, blogging seemed like the perfect hobby for me. Hurrah!
Blogging has been a wonderful creative outlet. I may not be the most amazing photographer, or decorator, or even mom for that matter, but I can share all the craziness of motherhood here and let it all hang out (OK maybe not “all.” It’s not that kind of blog, plus quite honestly when your kids start school and everyone learns about your blog you are definitely less inclined to let anything hang out on the Internetz.)
Someone representing Cambria Cove contacted me a couple of months ago. I’d never heard of Cambria Cove but OH MY WORD. And then I had this bright idea to actually do something in conjunction with my blogiversary.
Cambria Cove has generously donated a $100 gift certificate for YOU! This is my thank you for sticking with me over the years, even when for months and months and MONTHS when the only people reading my silly, unorganized ramblings were my mother and my husband and my mother-in-law and my best friend.
Seriously. Thanks for sticking around.
I’ve done a little holiday shopping for you and thought I’d highlight some of my favorite products from Cambria Cove.
I call this collage Betty and Don Draper prepare for the holidays (I am currently obsessed with Mad Men on AMC.)

The swank gal about town needs her fab accessories (is that red patent laptop sleeve not gorgeous?)

The hostess gifts with the mostess.

Now for the juicy part. Visit Cambria Cove online and browse around. Even the Big O herself has highlighted their site. Come back and comment about what you would buy with a $100 gift certificate should you be the lucky winner. That’s all. No posting, Tweeting, or rubbing your tummy and patting your head for extra entries. Just a straight up old school contest like back in the good ole days when blogs were blogs and Twitter was something you felt after one cup of coffee too many.
I’ll select a random winner from all eligible comments left by midnight, October 28.
Disclosure, red type verbiage: Cambria Cove sent me several lovely items from their website, such as these beautiful confetti tumbler glasses, but no monetary compensation to write this post or host this giveaway. Also, gifts ordered from Cambria Cove ship arrive in a gorgeous signature black and green gift box with a gold medallion.

Happy Blogiversary!
I have never heard of Cambria Cove…. Wow!!
My fav are the Confetti Pitcher by Rose Ann Hall Degins and the matching tumbler glasses… Love the colors!
Without question I know what three things I would get! I know that together they do not add up to $100.00 but I would just have to splurge on the rest
First, I would get the personalized embosser….I have ALWAYS wanted one and even ripped the page out of the catalog when I got it (I have been saving it in a folder for a couple of months he he). I have a little one due any minute now and have been sitting around writing thank you cards…they would have looked so elegant to have my address embossed on the back!
Second, I would buy one of the “initial” charms and necklace….with my new little one’s initial on it. And lastly, I LOVE the gold necklace that says HOPE. I need some right now and I am sure a lot of your readers do to. It would be nice to have that daily reminder around my neck!
So, there you have it! Sorry so long, but I clearly have a little time on my hands ha ha!
Thanks for your blog and Happy Blogiversary
Whoops! Pregnancy brain! Just realized that the contest was over…sorry!
I have never heard of Cambria Cove
iam wonder about that….it was good read
You may haven’t intended to do so, but I think you’ve managed to express the state of mind that lots of people are in. The sense of wanting to assist, but not knowing how or wherever, is something a lot of us are going through.
