Miss A brought this picture home after church and when I asked her who it was she immediately responded, “Jesus.”
I wasn’t sure what exactly Jesus was holding in this picture…a can of gasoline, a super-sized flask, a giant lighter?
So I asked Miss A what Jesus was doing in this picture, and she said…”He’s on vacation.”
So I’m assuming he’s holding a suitcase.
I guess after all the Bible stories she’s learning she figures Jesus has been so busy that he deserves a getaway.
You and me both Jesus!
p.s. Miss A gets her stitches out this afternoon at the pediatrician’s office and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous about it. Please send good vibes. She’s been such a trooper about her eye, which is officially a very impressive black and blue and that sickly kind of yellow bruised shade. I’m hoping it goes well today.
Maybe they learned that He never takes one.

That’s why I always like the Italians with their patron saints and feasts – they don’t bother God with the small stuff, and at least there’s a middle man involved so Jesus can get some breathing room.

OK it went really well this afternoon. Hubby met us at the doctor’s office which helped ease my nerves. She was absolutely FINE!
The nurse asked her how many stitches she had and she responded, “I have four stitches and I’M FOUR!”
Whew…mark another notch on the mama belt.
Our pediatrician did say to make sure we put sunscreen on it and have her wear a hat so that area doesn’t get overexposed to the sun.
Heck, yeah, JC needs a vacay! I like to picture him on some party cruise to Cancun. HA! Hope everything goes well today—once the stitches come out, things seem to heal a lot faster. Hope that’s true for your daughter!
