For Local Blog
One of the biggest blogging events of the year, the annual BlogHer conference, will be held the weekend of July 24 in Chicago.
If you’re like me you’re not attending because maybe you’re out of cash after two family vacations, not to mention vacation days at work, and you might spend that weekend avoiding your Google Feed Reader because you just can’t quite bear to read ONE MORE BlogHer post.
Well, have I got an intervention plan for you. It may or may not involve tequila!
Fellow Nashville blogger Amy at Milkbreath and Margaritas and I are co-hosting Margarit-Her Saturday July 25 at the new Cantina Laredo restaurant in the Gulch for local bloggers. I haven’t been to the new Nashville location but we went to the Cantina Laredo in Sandestin and it is fantastic. They make amazing fresh guacomole right at your table. I get excited just typing that.

Carrie @ http://www.bilingualintheboonies.com cued me in to this when I saw her skinnier than myself also at the Y, where I was standing on a scale at the start of a Weight Watchers meeting. (Harking back to ur 40’s post here. And, btw, as for waking up 40 with it all together, it doesn’t happen…as I also thought it would. But, nine years later, what’s good is that I figured out and made peace that there is no all together and it’s a continual process of getting it all together.) I’ll just be getting back from vacation that day. But I’m gonna try and make it. Hopefully, I’ll have something clean and chic to wear. It’s a prerequisite to getting a good table there and being treated humanely. Been there. Got the bad treatment bc one of us in our party wore baggy hippie clothes. Loved the patio. STRONG margaritas and great homemade quac dip prepared at your table. Thanks!
