This Dress

miss-a-fence

Taken on big sister’s birthday, June 6, by my mother-in-law, Mimi. (Notice the one sock.)

I remember this dress.

This dress is the one your sister wore a few years ago. It was a present from Grandma.

This dress has the cute hemline that begs to be twirled in while barefoot in the backyard. I found it in the attic a few weeks ago in storage tossed in with some of her other outgrown cotton t-shirts and play shorts from the summer your sister turned 4.

You were so excited to try on this dress when I showed it to you. It’s your favorite now, this dress, you tell me.

This dress I will remember. It’s my favorite now.

What a cute picture. The one sock makes it perfect.

Thanks ya’ll. I did a little retouch magic on Picnik.com to make it look somewhat “antiquey.” (very accurate term…heh!)

  6. I love that! I do that with the boys. I had a favorite outfit with Sean that I later used again with Brady. it’s one of the few outfits that I kept when all was said an done, as a reminder of them as little people.

  7. Yeah, we do the “one sock on, one sock off” thing here at our house, too :)

  12. If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

  13. Most of whatever you point out is supprisingly precise and that makes me ponder the reason why I had not looked at this in this light before. This piece really did turn the light on for me personally as far as this specific subject goes. Nonetheless at this time there is just one factor I am not too comfortable with and whilst I make an effort to reconcile that with the central idea of your issue, let me observe what all the rest of your readers have to say.Nicely done.
