Cute top! I am a skirt wearer. I admit it. I am careful to get skirts that aren’t too “Old Lady” but the way I’m built, I look MUCH better with a skirted suit. I like tankinis from Lands End.

    LOVE this post title!

I actually got an awesome tankini from SAM’S CLUB last year for $28. I love it so much (and it has no skirt, thankyouverymuch) that I may skip the horrific experience of looking for another one I like and just let that one ride for another year. Or two. Or four.

I am not a fan of tankinis. They tend to ride up in the middle, exposing all of that extra skin I attained from my offspring. The very flesh I was TRYING to hide with said tankini.

Plus, they never look as good on me when wet as they do when dry.

I am definitely on that road to a full-body swim suit. Do I HAVE to show my upper thighs? I mean, I’m married. The thighs did what they were supposed to do, pre-children. Now? They’re just scaring the little kids at the pool….

    SO FUNNY.

I got a Lands’ End tankini top last year and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. It stands up to all the pool-side/laundry trauma. I think VS would, too.

Just also wanted to let you know my URL changed. :)

I paid a ton last year for a black tankini that I like, thinking you know, the more I pay the better this will turn out.

    Whatever.

“flimsy” is a really good way to describe my boobs too. sigh.

uh oh…I’m definitely a tankini top girl and skirts…yep I’ve been wearing those for a few years….crap, I think you just gave me a complex! :)

I consider my use of the skirted bathing suit to be a public service. Nobody needs to see what’s behind curtain #1 on my body.

  9. Lisa

    Cute! Love the top.

As far as the skirt goes – by this summer I’ll have given birth to three human beings. Not only do the boobs sag, but the butt isn’t too far behind. Maybe next year I’ll shoot for a cute suit? Maybe :)

I just bought a skirted tankini. I bought one with a top that will match the bottoms from my boyshort tankini, too. I hate paying that much money for something I’ll hate being seen in. But, we’re going on a real vacation this year. What I wear to swim at my SIL’s is not going to cut it on a public beach.

Life can be rough when you have kids and it’s even harder trying to find good tankinis for cheap. One place I found a great deal is http://www.hapari.com/modest-tankinis/. Their swimwear is reasonable and looks good too. Your boobs might not look as good as Jaime Pressly but you can still have fun.
