I'm a 40-year-old soccer mom to two little girls desperately seeking sanity and hiding from the Barbie Pop-Tarts. I work as an editor and social media coordinator in business publishing. My husband, a former beach bartender, founded MouseCalls Computer Services here in Nashville. We have two mutts, one fish, and too much laundry. Estrogen and wine flow freely at our house.

my son makes me tell him stories about mo-mo the monkey that gets in fights with dinosaurs in our backyard. i get tired just thinking about trying to come up with new ideas for these stories. i think i’m going to have him start telling them to me

The story was really abbreviated and lame since all I could think of by that point was “PLEASE go to sleep!”

Kids can have such wild thoughts! The scary oink oink story is so cute. Sometimes I try to underestimate my daughter’s imaginative thoughts, but she always proves me wrong. I just wish I could match up with her thoughts when its way too early in the morning.
