This is pretty much how our Sunday evenings go.
So much for “wearing them out” and letting them “get their ya yas out” at the park. This was all canceled out by letting the girls watch Camp Rock tonight on the Disney Channel.
As you can see, Miss A was exhausted at 9 o’clock and ready to curl up and go to sleep. I just wish I’d had a video camera out for the headbanging that ensued during the closing scene of the movie. Now that was classic.
So remember…Camp Rock at bedtime is the equivalent of mental speed for a 3 and 6-year-old girl.

Summer
! I believe 100% in giving kids the space to breathe… to veg out (NOT in front of something electronic)... to be silly and run around with buckets on their heads and have FUN using their imaginations!
So many moms think it’s more work having the kids around the house all day in the summer, but after spending 4 hours driving the kids to camps and back last week, I’m all for the vegging out option!
Since I work at home, my hours get shoved into early mornings and night time, but watching the kids be inventive during the day—and even letting them get BORED and have to rely on their imaginations—is “priceless,” as they say…..

Goosey loved Camp Rock. Now every trip through Target includes pointing out EVERY piece of Camp Rock merchandising (which there is a TON of).......

We still don’t have the Disney Channel yet. I think I want it as much as my kids, but I haven’t gotten around to adding it to our cable package.

Also- I think the oldest Jonas brother has a VERY WEAK CHIN. I’m just sayin.
