I'm a 39-year-old working mom to two girls trying to stay sane and away from the Barbie PopTarts. I'm also a writer and editor with more than 17 years of experience. BlondeMomBlog is a top Google search result for "mom blog" and I'm kind of proud of that ya'll.

Pimping Miss Daisy

I want to give a special shout out to Daisy Olsen who tweaked my new Savvy Housewife digs. The comments were stacking themselves in a most bizarre like fashion and I was completely clueless as to how to fix it. I know the simple things like copy, paste, and post. Daisy also added some newfangled social bookmarking bling bling, widgets, buttons, whatever you want to call them, to both this blog and Savvy Housewife.

I freaked out when I saw the comments glitch and fired off a desperate e-mail. Karla, one of the blog divas behind Blissfully Domestic, was kind enough to refer me to Daisy, who should not be confused with any character on Little House on the Prairie.

Here’s a little bio from Daisy:

Daisy Olsen loves all things WordPress and can be found tweaking several blogs simultaneously at any given time. She enjoys working as a blog consultant and as a freelancer creating Microsoft Office

templates. Sometimes she manages to find time do some blogging herself. You can find her at DaisyOlsen.com or on Twitter (http://twitter.com/DaisyOlsen)

Who do you turn to in your blog moments of need? Mrs. Flinger has also been a fine source of blog tweakage for me (she made my drop-down features on my sidebar.) And yes, I sleep with a techie, but he’s not a blog code guru.

I have a wordpress journal before (but it’s temporarily on hiatus to make way for my own web address). For my blogging needs, I always turn to my cousin who knows wordpress better.

It was much easier to use livejournal before, but wordpress gives you a lot of freedom to do some tweaking on your journal.

I am very cheap as far as blog expenses so I usually go to my friend Cindy (http://forevertulip.com) especially for html advice. Blogger Beta templates are a PAIN to find. (I did just stumble upon http://ashleysbloglayouts.blogspot.com/ and she is also very good)

I’m glad you got help! It’s major freak out time when the ol blog looks like something is crashing and you aren’t a techie. I would have not a clue.

Not to ding my own bells, but I am my own blogspot techie. I make layouts for it and I am always helping friends tweak theirs. I am the one they come too. : ) As far as Wordpress goes, forget it though, I know nothing!

How nice! I admit, I sleep with my web designer. It helps get the jobs done a lot faster :)
