Mother’s Day Giveaway…Now With More Bling!
UPDATED! OK…I have some winners!
Amelia just drew the names out of a cowboy hat…pretty appropriate for Nashville, huh? Kelly at Filtering Life (be sure to check out the gorgeous photos of her sweet baby girl) won the MetroMamma baby wrap; Liza at Liza’s Eyeview in beautiful Hawaii won the Days Ago digital counter; and Emily, mama to two little boys at A Little Divided, won the cookbook/kitchen guide. Congrats everyone! I will e-mail you later to get your mailing addresses. Thanks for playing along.
I thought I’d celebrate Mother’s Day weekend on le blog by doing my first ever product giveaways. Consider me your Vanna White for the next 60 seconds.
First, is the MetroMamma baby wrap. The giveaway wrap I have is a beautiful light tan color with a fun blingy crown similar to the black wrap Tori Spelling was recently spotted wearing with her little dude (photo via the very cool Celebrity Baby Blog.) The MetroMamma has been called the most secure and comfortable baby wrap on the market. You can throw it in the washing machine with your kids’ clothes and it’s also one-size-fits-all. And, let’s face it, it’s pretty darn fashionable. I had the utilitarian Baby Bjorn for Caitlin and she was such a baby chunko I could barely squeeze her thunder thighs into the thing without crippling myself. This would make a wonderful gift for a mama to be.

Second, is a kitchen gadget that appeals to the forgetful, scatterbrained mama in me. I used to be totally organized but the girls have sucked the lifeblood out of my short-term memory bank. The DaysAgo digital day counter attaches to a variety of surfaces with a magnetic or suction backing. Use it on food containers to let you know how many days ago you opened them. Or use it to keep track of how many days ago you last watered a plant, gave your dog medication, changed your air filter, washed your hair (kidding!), etc.
Third is the Frantic Woman’s Guide to Feeding Family and Friends by Mary Jo Rulnick. At over 400 pages, the book is divided into seasonal menus as well as menus based on weekly and daily specials at the grocery store. I love the first section of the book, the prep work section, because she goes over what you really need as far as cookware, pantry supplies, etc. I think this would make a great housewarming gift or bridal shower present.
To enter the drawing, comment to this post and let me know which item (it can be just one or all three) you would like to be in the running for by midnight Tuesday, May 15 CST. And you don’t have to have a blog to enter, just a valid e-mail address so that I can contact you. Good luck! And Happy Mother’s Day weekend!
