We would love to play audio reviews of your (or your children's) favourite books on "Just One More Book!!" -- A podcast about the Children's Books we love and why we love them, recorded in our favourite coffee shop!

www.JustOneMoreBook.com

Just One More Book is a thrice-weekly podcast in which we take a few minutes out of our morning coffee ritual to discuss one of our many favourite children's books.

Through this podcast and its website, we are building a lively, interactive community linking children's book authors, illustrators, readers (parents and children) and publishers.

Our podcast is powered by passion. We have no advertisers or sponsers and there is no financial gain to be had. Our goal is to link children with great books and help create happy memories for children and the adults that read to them…and to have fun!

I hope to see you there!

I am SO jealous that you still have your books from 'your' childhood! You know, I was keeping several of mine, and I remember having them as I boomeranged from my folks to my first apartment to my folks, ad infinitum, but somewhere along the way....

lost they became...

I do still have a couple - but I sure miss that original Richard Scarry book (I'm 36) and I really miss that jokes and riddles book...

I can still see the pictures in my mind..."Why did the robber take a shower? --He wanted to make a clean getaway." Unkempt, unshaven man with a big, black watch peeking out of a shower curtain. LOL (why I remember the watch, I don't know...)

As I read your post and discovered the books in the picture were actually yours, I got choked up being the book-geek that I am, and had to scroll back up and look at them closer!

Great post!

I have that same copy of Charlotte's Web. From the Weekly Reader book club. Good times. I also had a condensed version of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens that I got through the book club. Also a good one for when you're a kid. I like the non-condensed one now. I never read Madeleine L'Engle when I was a kid and then when I was 20 years old and living with a family as an au pair, their 11 year old daughter said she liked A Wrinkle in Time and insisted I read it, which I did that very night. When I told her I finished it the next morning, she insisted I read the rest of them since I could go through them so quickly. I thank her for that. Probably the best experience to come of being an au pair.
